Breakfast entertaining

Some of my favorite parties have involved breakfast. There's something about getting together with friends and family in the morning light that's just...well, refreshing. I picked up a brochure from Williams-Sonoma a few months ago with several ideas for great breakfasts, including a waffle bar, omelet bar, bagel bar, and a juice&smoothie bar.

Waffle bar: have a waffle maker heated and ready along with two types of batters, fresh fruit, ice cream, cinnamon and sugar, syrups, and jams. I think this would also be fantastic with crepes.

Omelet bar: Have two 8" omelet pans ready along with a pitcher of beaten eggs and a choice of cooked fillings, such as meats and vegetables, plus grated cheeses.

Bagel bar: set out fresh bagels with a variety of spreads, plus smoked salmon (I'll skip this), sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions.

Juice, smoothie, and yogurt bar: Set out ingredients for making juices and smoothies, as well as for creating yogurt parfaits, such as cut fresh fruits, yogurt, milk, honey, and granola.
