There is a sacredness in tears, they are not the mark of weakness but of power, they are messengers of overwhelming grief and of unspeakable love....Washington Irving
"Go about doing good until there is too much good in the world." Larry H Miller
"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness, For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself and the other for helping others." Audrey Hepburn
"Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you ever can." ~John Wesley
It is a common experience that a problem difficult at night is resolved in the morning after the committee of sleep has worked on it.
~John Steinbeck
"some things don't matter much. Like the color of a house. How big is that in the overall scheme of life? But lifting a person's heart--now, that matters. The whole problem with people is...they know what matters, but they don't choose it...The hardest thing on earth is choosing what matters."
— Sue Monk Kidd
I looked always outside of myself to see what I could make the world give me
instead of looking within myself
to see what was there.
~Belle Livingstone
"Rings and other jewels are not gifts, but apologies for gifts. The only gift is a portion of thyself." Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.” ~ Denis Waitley

What a lovely blog you have. I think I came across it through Pinterest- which looks like it might be perfect for you. Are you on Pinterest yet?
(I tried to follow your blog- but Google's experiencing spome troubles- will add myself when it's working again!)
we had sparklers on one of our kids' birthday cakes - although very festive, all the ash left on the cake was hard to pick off :(
